Looking for a practical, hands-on role where you can get stuck in and build a career?
We’re looking for someone with real practical experience—construction, roofing, roads, offshore, trade counter, or any hands-on industry—who wants to learn and grow in the renewable energy sector.

You’ll primarily be working on solar panel installations and roofing tasks, but when there’s no solar work on site, you’ll be supporting our plumbing and heating engineers, learning basic plumbing and system installation skills along the way.This role is perfect for someone who wants to get involved, learn new skills, and build a career, with full training in scaffolding, Health & Safety, and working at height provided.

About the Role

This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the team across multiple types of projects:

  • Building scaffolding safely and efficiently
  • Assisting with roofing tasks and learning basic roofing skills
  • Mounting and fitting solar panels, running cables, and helping set up systems
  • Supporting plumbing and heating engineers when solar work isn’t on site
  • Following guidance from experienced installers and engineers
  • Learning health and safety on site, including working at height
  • Developing new practical skills across renewables, roofing, and basic plumbing

No prior renewable experience is required — what matters is a practical, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

Training & Development

Who We’re Looking For

We’re open to candidates from a wide range of hands-on backgrounds, including:

  • Roofing, construction, or roads work
  • Offshore or industrial roles
  • Trade counter or warehouse roles familiar with tools and equipment

Essential qualities:

  • Practical, hands-on, and comfortable with physical work
  • Happy to work at height and follow Health & Safety guidelines
  • Keen to learn new skills and take guidance
  • Reliable, professional, and a good team player
  • Full driving licence

Desirable (not essential):

  • Experience with scaffolding, roofing, or solar installations
  • Interest in plumbing, heating, or renewable energy systems
